This is an English translation of the Korean original. If the two differ, the Korean version prevails.
1. What these Terms cover
These Terms apply between users and the operator when you use the Salva app and its related services (the “Service”). How personal information is handled is set out in the separate Privacy Policy, which is also considered part of these Terms.
By installing the Service or creating an account, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
2. Accounts
Most of the Service (creating a store, scanning, stock, and expiry alerts) can be used without signing in. You need an account for three things: team invites · device sync · Salva Pro.
You sign in with a 6-digit code sent to your email. There is no password, so keeping the inbox that receives the code secure is how you keep your account secure. If you give the code to someone else, that person can see your store's data.
The person who creates a store becomes its owner, and people who are invited can view and edit data within the scope the owner sets.
3. Salva Pro annual subscription
Subscription name Salva Pro (per store · no limit on the number of people in the store)
Period and price 1 year · ₩39,000 (price in South Korea)
Free trial 30 days. If you cancel during the trial, you will not be charged.
Auto-renewal Unless you cancel, the subscription renews automatically when the period ends and the same amount is charged again. To stop renewal, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
Cancellation You cannot cancel in the app. Cancel from the subscription management screen of the app store you paid through: on iOS, Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
Refunds Payments and refunds are handled by each app store and follow that store's refund policy.
Payment is charged to the app store account you subscribed with, and the amount actually charged is the amount shown on the payment screen. It may differ by region depending on exchange rates, taxes, and app store policies.
One subscription is tied to one store. A subscription that is already in use for another store cannot be used to make a new store Pro. If you run several stores, each store needs its own subscription.
Three things are locked to Pro: team invites · device sync and backup · waste loss report. When a subscription ends, reading the data you have already built up is not blocked. Only new uploads stop.
Scanning · stock · sorting by expiry date · device alerts · filling in product names are free, with no limit on quantity or time. If the free scope is reduced in the future, the operator will let you know in advance.
4. You must check the dates the app reads
The Service helps you enter barcodes and printed dates by reading them with the camera. However, depending on print quality, lighting, and fonts, it may misread them or fail to read them.
That is why the Service never records a date on its own. A date the camera reads only fills in the field; it is recorded only when you tap a button. Even so, you are ultimately responsible for confirming that the recorded date matches the date printed on the product.
The same goes for alerts. Alerts are scheduled on the device, so they may not go off on time if the device's notification permission is off, the device is turned off, or the time zone or clock settings change. The Service does not make sale or discard decisions for you, and does not replace your store's obligations under the Food Sanitation Act (Korea) or other relevant laws and regulations.
5. Shared product names: names you submit are visible to others
When you enter a product name for a barcode the Service has not seen before, that name also appears on other stores' screens. So you may not submit the following.
- Profanity, hateful or sexual content; ads, contact details, or URLs
- Other people's personal information, or text that infringes trademarks or copyrights
- Names unrelated to the actual product, or strings entered as a joke
You are responsible for the names you submit. The operator may take down or hide inappropriate names, and may restrict your use of the Service if you do this repeatedly.
If you see a strange name, you can flag it right on the screen where you add a product in the app. A name you have flagged will not appear on that device again, and once a name gets two flags, it is taken down automatically. You can take down names you have submitted at any time in Settings.
6. What you must not do
- Taking the Service apart or modifying it, or sending it large volumes of automated requests
- Trying to access another store's data
- Trying to use Pro features by getting around payment
- Breaking the law or interfering with other users' use of the Service
7. Changes to and suspension of the Service
The operator may add, change, or remove features. Significant changes that are unfavorable to users will be announced in advance in the app or on this site. If Pro features are discontinued during a paid subscription, the remaining period will be handled according to the app store's policy.
The Service may stop temporarily because of maintenance, outages, or issues with outside services (app stores, cloud).
8. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided as is. The operator does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or that recognition will always be accurate.
To the extent permitted by law, the operator's liability does not exceed the subscription fees the user concerned actually paid in the most recent 12 months. However, damage caused by the operator's intent or gross negligence is not subject to this limit.
The operator is not responsible for waste or sales losses that arise because a user did not carry out the check in Section 4.
9. Termination and account deletion
You can end your use at any time by deleting the app. To delete your account and the data on the server, follow Settings > Account in the app or the account and data deletion instructions.
Deleting your account is not the same as canceling your subscription. Charges stop only when you cancel the subscription separately in the app store.
If a user seriously violates these Terms, the operator may suspend their use or terminate their account. In that case, the operator will notify them in advance where possible.
10. Notice about app stores
These Terms are between the user and the operator, and Apple Inc. and Google LLC are not parties to these Terms. Accordingly, responsibility for the Service's content, quality, maintenance, and support lies with the operator, not with the app store providers.
Apple, as a third-party beneficiary of these Terms, may enforce them directly against the user. The operator is also responsible for responding to any claim that the Service infringes a third party's rights.
11. Changes to these Terms
When these Terms change, the new version and its effective date will be posted on this page. Changes that are unfavorable to users will be announced 30 days before the effective date, and if you keep using the Service after that, you will be deemed to have agreed to the changes. If you do not agree, you may terminate your use.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If a dispute arises, please first notify the operator at the contact below, and the operator will try to resolve it through discussion. If it is still not resolved, it may be brought before the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act (Korea).
