Account and data deletion

How to request deletion of your Salva (an expiry date tracker for stores) account and the data linked to it. Once we have confirmed your request, we process it within 3 business days.

1. How to request deletion

Step 1. Send an email to support@salva.kr with the subject “Account deletion”.

Step 2. In the body, write the email address you use to sign in. Sending from that address is fastest.

Step 3. We will reply to verify your identity. Once verified, we carry out the deletion within 3 business days and let you know when it is complete.

If you want to delete only some of your data without deleting your account, let us know at the same address. In the app, you can also delete products and batches or leave a store, and turning off notifications deletes this device's notification address.

2. What gets deleted

Even after deletion from the server, data may remain in backups for up to 30 days. It disappears completely when the backups are replaced, and in the meantime it cannot be viewed in the Service.

3. What stays, and why

Data in stores that have other team members

A store's products, stock, and history belong to the store, not to a person. The remaining team members need to keep running that store, so we do not delete the store's data; instead, you are removed from that store. If you are the only owner of that store, ownership passes to a remaining member. Stores where you were the only member are deleted as well, as shown in the table above.

“Who did it” in the records

The labels showing who added a batch and who recorded each action in the history are unlinked from your account, so no one can tell who it was. The store's history itself remains.

The “answer” for shared product names

The product name for a barcode is the result of combining submissions from many people. Your submissions are deleted and the answer is recalculated, but the answer built from other people's submissions remains.

Subscription records

A Pro subscription is purchased by the store, not by a person, so it stays with the store. The link to who purchased it is removed. Payments themselves are processed by Apple and Google, and Salva does not store card information.
